MrHips 0 #1 June 7, 2005 Hoping someone may have some info to help me out. The new RWS Sigma Micro Tandem System is based (for the reserve) around the PD 360R. I know the advertised pack volume for this canopy but I have a Precision 375. Can anyone tell me if they know the pack volume for a TR 375. That would really help me to work out a comparison. I have packed both reserves into normal Sigma's and they seem very similar but I am not sure when it comes to the smaller size of the Sigma Micro container. Cheers. SkymonkeyONE 4 #2 June 8, 2005 Bill or Egon might speak up and say differently, but as I understand it, the Micro Sigma is designed to hold the same reserve. The container is just a big thicker to make it's length and width dimensions smaller. If either fits in a "regular" Sigma, either ought to fit in the new one. Bill? Egon? MrHips 0 #3 June 9, 2005 Thanks for the reply. got to speak to the guys at RWS. They are trying their best to get some accurate info from their engineers. That's why I thought someone might have a pack volume spec's on the tr375 until I hear from Mark. The PD 360 pack volume is easily available.
wuffo 1 #4 June 9, 2005 I know that the original configuration of the Precision Tandem Reserve was rigged with Dacron lines, and it packed so big nobody could get it into a Vector container. Many of those canopies were re-lined with Vectran to reduce pack volume and that helped quite a bit. So, the lineset of the reserve in question is important. About getting data from Precision, that's like pulling teeth. George Galloway is not the best when it comes to that sort of thing. He's more of a "sew it and sell it" business person. Hell, they don't even have owner's manuals for their main canopies! As far as I know, the old Raven and Falcon (both TSO'd for reserve use) are the only canopies they ever made a manual for, back in the 80's!
