Heatmiser 0 #27 December 23, 2009 Who the fuck is DB Cooper? What you say is reflective of your knowledge...HOW ya say it is reflective of your experience. Airtwardo Someone's going to be spanked! Hopefully, it will be me. Skymama
Amazon 7 #29 December 23, 2009 Quote Quote They're hoping the real DB will show Duane died years ago...Much like Duffman, there was an original and now there have been many many other DBC's claiming their claim for fame, for love or due to mental illness (or all three). The real DBC is probably still out there somewhere. Hanging in a tree. Still wearing a harness. Or he's a crater in the ground. Much better skydivers have died making easier jumps. Dave dear, Tree jumps under a round actually are pretty easy...if you get a nice hookup... not that hard to do by the way..... its actually an easier landing in a fir tree than smakin the shit out of the ground under the C-9 Its also not all that hard to get out of the fir tree with even minimal equipment. Trust me on this one.. if he would have died hanging in a tree he would have been found many many years ago.. There are just too many recreational types in the area.. hikleers.. backpackers...hunters... and loggers. Most of that group would not have missed a parachute in a tree. I would really love to see this all happen.. the DZO at Toledo I think is onboard... he knows me... and my propensity for doing crazy shitSome boogies offer water jumps.. maybe we should do tree jumps for this one as a specialty jump

Swell; The DB Cooper thread just migrated to the BF."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. Amazon 7 #31 December 23, 2009 Duude.. this is about the boogie by skydivers for skydivers... especially the ones that think the wuffos that think it was impossible to do are all full of it. Think positive man...

normiss 800 #34 December 23, 2009 so you want us to endure this for almost TWO YEARS??? this does appear to be an extension of the DBC discussion, and it's too early for Events...odd juxtaposition!
Amazon 7 #35 December 23, 2009 Why are so many Mr PoopyPants coming out to play... The thread is about having fun.... try it.. you might like it
normiss 800 #36 December 23, 2009 maybe because we have tolerated the DBC discussion for years now. we tried to make it fun...it's just grown long in the tooth in my mind. oh...and that the mods must be on Holiday. personally...I think it's a very cool idea. I'm just unsure of the "proper dizziedotcom" way to discuss it.

I really am trying to get ideas on how we can have a kick ass event and party... and have fun in interim. I just want ideas I can run with.... and to poke some fun at certain wuffo's and LEG's that think we are all nutz anywayPLUS Come on.. how many hours of conversation have people had about that jump around boggie bonfires for the last 30 some odd years

How are you knees holding up Andy My knees are just fine thanks... even after hundreds of jumps on those things. I jumped one last onto terra way too firma at the 2004 Green Meet at Snohomish.... it was a pretty ragged out TU mod to a T-10.... I wish there would have been a tad more wind, It would have made for a better PLF. The accuracy was great.. about 20 ft from dead center but shit I didnt remember those things coming down quite that fast... then again my ass was not as fat back when I was jumping those things all the time. The video is under Amazon on skydivingmovies.com. All my round jumps since then have been water jumps.... BIG SPLASH... AWSUM BIG THUD... Not so awsum.( but also not a death sentence as some people think)
