ladyskydiver 0 #1 December 17, 2009 For those that remember me....thought I'd stop by and say hi since I really haven't been around much. School's going well, and the island is well...the island. The island has definitely taught me a lot about appreciating what I have in the states. I did end up going to South Africa in August for 2 weeks and had a wonderful time. I fell in love with the place and the wildlife! I never knew I'd think rhino's were adorable! I just finished my last final for the semester and will be heading home on Saturday (going to freeze my ass off at home)! It's low 80's here and a tad "chilly." It's hard to believe that I've been living here for 20 months already. I come back to the island in January and will have 8 more months here and then will head back to the states for clinical rotations (aka work like a slave for no pay but get GREAT experience ). Also, when I come back to the island, I get my little puppy that I adopted. Her name is Siena, is an island mutt, and just turned 5 weeks old. Hope all is well with everyone! Much love! Hugs & kisses.Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile. I will give you the quick version, Ice fishing, hunting, Snowmobiling, Cross Country Skiing, Shoveling Snow, Plowing Snow, Falling down drunk in the snow, watching it snow, freezing your ass off in the snow.... warpedskydiver 0 #12 December 17, 2009 We miss you very much Cora, things are really different these days. When you get back let me know so we can have fun. We should have a dog party too! BTW there are several vets that we know that might just want to join forces with you. Georgine is at UofI right now and should graduate early if she continues on her educational style. She took just one year to get her masters. You girls are not only good looking, but brilliant as well. It's amazing how smart KB, you,Georgine, Marg and others are. It makes me humble as can be. lawrocket 3 #15 December 17, 2009 Poor Cora causes me to recall my own grad school experience. She's not living life. We know this because she lived it for two weeks in August and hasn't the time to tell us about until four months later. Cora - I'm looking for a local cabana boy for you. My wife is hotter than your wife.
ladyskydiver 0 #16 December 17, 2009 Thanks, everyone! FreeFlyer2100 - No, I don't believe so. I'd be surprised if there were any pure breed dogs on this island that are not brought in by the students. Her mom was free on the island, claimed by no-one, and was brought into the school's shelter (after following all the requirements to make sure she's no-one's dog) and no-one knows who/what daddy is. Remi - *raspberry* I'm one of those people who used to give you grief when you were green. Turtle - Jerry - Wisconsin is gorgeous in winter...just cold. You're always welcome to come and bring the family for a visit. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably.
