RevJim 0 #27 November 5, 2003 QuoteHey Jim! Where ya been? I wonder if Mother Nature is fair to claim as a DZ.com pet peve? She is often the reason for many threads, and the main reason I have two jumps in the last two weeks! Nice to hear from you! I've been working on my house, and fighting unemployment since July. I've got a jump on the books over there with Donna, it's just that every time I can actually get away, the ceiling is like 800 feet! We can't blame dz.com for the weather, but we can complain (a peeve, if you will) about all those posts from people saying how wonderful their weather is, and that they are really, really sorry ours isn't as good (yea, right!).It's your life, live it! RevJim 0 #28 November 5, 2003 Quoterev jim complaining about being cold Political debates are mine, i hear enough of it at work. I really should agree with that, but it's a nice source of locked threads to go back and skim when I'm bored. Maybe we should have a sub group under "Talkback", called "Religion and Political Threads". They would be so much easier to ignore that way, and the greenies could dump the ones started in the other forums there! It's your life, live it! And I would add in the same sub group: Race and moral issues. And all DZ.commers would have the possibility to hide this entire sub-group. Politics sucks. Yves. Especially if you are giving advice in other forms such as safety and training, gear are rigging and general skydiving. I want to know what your experience level is in order to consider your opinion. I know that may sound a little harsh but there are alot of new jumpers that read here and don't need to get some bad and/or dangerous advice from some nut case. In general talk back a persons profile doesn't mean much except for maybe where they are located, depending on the topic. But like you said Dave, its nice to know who you are talking to. I figure I don't have to worry about stalkers cause down here in the south, we all have guns and I think its been made pretty clear in several posts.
