d_squared431 0 #28 December 7, 2009 If we all read your posts/replies and are all getting the same impression of your thoughts and how you feel about women and their role in life then i think you need to rethink what you are posting. Don't tell lisah she doesn't know you or what you are like. You are what you post on here because that is want we read. Change your way of posting and then maybe we might think differently of you.Frankly, I have no clue how a guy like you could ever get laid let alone get/be married. Your shallow views about women are really old now and you need to find another past time hobby. shah269 0 #31 December 7, 2009 QuoteI'm not judging you. Just going by what you type. And what did I type? Would you rather some one lie to you or be 100% honest with you from the get go. I'm 100% BS free, what you see, is what you get. Yes I find women who are of a given shape and size to be attractive and am ok with saying so. And I'm sure you find men of a given shape and size attractive and you should say so as well. I also believe that love should flow between partners but I'm guessing you didn't read that post. You want some one to lie to you, I'm not that guy. And now we have hit a major contradiction....on your "list" of what a guy should be is "honest".....so do you still want "honestly" or the illusion of "honesty"? So again, what do women want in a man. And be honest. Honestly is liberating. Edit. hcsvader 1 #34 December 7, 2009 Ive pretty much been single my whole life. Never had a commited monogamous relationship that has lasted longer than a few months. I've had casual open relationships that have lasted a year or two. I am very content being single. I live my life for me and do the things I want to do. I have amazing friends and family and do not feel the need to be in a commited relationship. I really don't understand why some people hate being single, why the feel the need to have someone to share thier life with. Is it a sex thing? Is the only way they get regular is to be in a relationship? Is it a need to have someone there to depend on? What is it? I don't often sleep alone and I feel I can depend on friends and famiy for anything else I may need in life. I don't really have much desire to be in a relationship and I don't know if I ever will. I have met a few amazing women who I could see myself having a wonderful future with. Maybe I just haven't met the right one yet, and thats fine by me, I'm having a blast looking for her!Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)

pontiacgtp00 0 #40 December 7, 2009 Single, don't like it much but it's tough to have any kind of long-term relationship when you're between the ages of 20 and 30. Plentiful short-term hookups though.

For fun look up my first post on this forum. I'm deep sister.... 1. Maybe you just have a shitty sense of humor and that's why women don't like you. Or maybe you have a great sense of humor but the rest of your qualities are shitty enough to outweigh it. 2. Searching "Shah269's first post" yielded no results. Nataly 38 #42 December 7, 2009 Shah.. You may be honest, but you don't speak the truth.. You only talk about things the way you see them. There is a BIG difference. You keep saying the same things and you keep getting indignant feedback.. Your response to that is that we women don't like to hear the truth but the reality is that we keep getting annoyed with you because your version of "the truth" is biased, small-minded and incorrect. You take a very narrow/extreme definition of what men/women are like and strip out all the complexities of what makes us the way we are. You ignore 90% of our characteristics and choose to focus on a few things. The truth is that very few people fit your definition of what women are like. For me, one of the clearest indications that you don't know what you're talking about is your persistent insistence that single women have it easier than single men.. This is only true in relation to how easy it is to have casual sex, but I think you'll find that that is NOT typically what single women are looking for. Women have a VERY hard time finding what they want. If you want to believe that men and women boil down to just a few basic things, you are welcome to your opinion.. But it is and opinion, and not the truth."There is no problem so bad you can't make it worse." - Chris Hadfield « Sors le martinet et flagelle toi indigne contrôleuse de gestion. » - my boss

This is only true in relation to how easy it is to have casual sex, but I think you'll find that that is NOT typically what single women are looking for. Women have a VERY hard time finding what they want. If you want to believe that men and women boil down to just a few basic things, you are welcome to your opinion.. But it is and opinion, and not the truth. First off we are human, we are easy. We have basic needs and wants. We need and want to be loved and love others. But we go out of our way to make life complicated. Why? Who knows? Maybe we fear compassion? And yes it is easier for a girl to get out of the single life than a guy. How many times have you walked up to a guy and asked him how he's doing? And how many times have guys come up to you? So off the get go using the basic social model, you girls have a bit of an advantage in that society doesn't expect you to make the first move. After that it's a numbers game, you have a X number of key requirement that you seek in a potential long term partner. Which is perfectly ok, and not it's a matter of getting out, and presenting your self and seeing what the tide drags in. For a guy it's harder. Do you know how hard it is for your average guy to walk up to you, say hi to your gaggle of friends then look you square int he eye and try to impress you in under 20seconds? And what if you shoot him down? Odds are 50/50. No matter how self assured his ego will take a hit and he goes back to his mates. He may or may not hit on another girl in the entire span of the evening depending on how bad the hit was. While you? Giggle and squeak wait for contestant #2 to come up. So doing the math, you have nothing to loose....just sit there and say no till the right guy shows up. And we guys.....well...not every one of us can take being shot down over and over again so well. Am I right or am I wrong? (don't say I'm wright people may get upset). So single ladies prove me wrong, show me I'm wrong! And I know you want to! It's Monday morning. You have till Sunday morning to walk up to a guy you find attractive and who you think meets your requirements and I want you to hit on him. And I'm not talking a giggle or flashing him. Just walk up, say hi to his friends, look him square in the eyes and introduce your self. He may not be Mr. Right, but then again he may. And you can then come back on line and talk about how it went. My first post in the bonfire was about heart ache, and as I recall though I hope I'm wrong, a number of the lovely ladies weren't very compassionate.Life through good thoughts, good words, and good deeds is necessary to ensure happiness and to keep chaos at bay. jtval 0 #45 December 7, 2009 Shah, While I agree with the ladies that some of your posts seems a bit mysogynistic I think you're onto something with your last post. Girls, If you haven't already done this, go up to a guy you think is attractive, physically or otherwise and introduce yourself. You know, If one woman does this they may think you're crazy. But if Two, can you imagine if TWO women did this. Well, they may think your gay. But if THREE WOMEN DID THIS, well they'd call it a movement. (paraphrased from a famous holiday song. 3 pts if you know which one) I'll be at the mall today for a bit, then I am going to petsmart with/for my dog. I'll probably stop in for luch at the sushi bar. Let's start the movement. MarkM 0 #49 December 7, 2009 QuotePersonal opinion....it's easier to be single as a girl then a guy. 50% of the population is female, the other half is guys. I don't see how single chicks have it easier than single guys or how women can "magically" find a guy any more than a man can't just run out and find a girl if he really just puts effort into it. As for being single... I miss having a kayaking, couch, movie, and snuggle buddy. Don't miss the drama that pops up when my shit is incompatible with their shit.
