That means that the person that you are pursuing wants the same thing. 2- The Prom Queen/King has other options. Yep. They don't live in a cave. Other people notice them. Life isn't fair. In 20 years, their options go away too. 3- Figure out whether they just want sex with someone hot, or a relationship. Sex can be just bodily functions. Relationships are with people. The large mistake? Finding the hottest person possible and then changing them into the person that you want. I do not expect anyone to admit that they've ever dated someone because they were stellar-hot, with the goal of changing them into the person of their relationship dreams. "Communication" and "change" are what sell racks of relationship books to dreamers. Self-evaluate. Figure it out. Admit it. Deal with it. Then make your own life, friendships, and be happy.
