normiss 798 #1 November 23, 2009 Favorite / most useful apps? Best place to buy accessories? I'm looking for a GOOD bar code reader and price comparing program. Redlaser is good at reading, but I can't change the databases from Google and Amazon. Shoppersavvy is pretty good too, but it is difficult to get a good scan, and the database is severely lacking. It won't recognize a can of Pringles! I was advised of this site today for accessories...FREE shipping and dirt cheap prices too! Meritline
FlyingJ 0 #2 November 26, 2009 I use the heck out of Pocket Universe. Want to say it was $1.99 or $2.99 but well worth it in my opinion. Pulls up a map of the nighttime sky and you can either drag it around or activate the motion sensitive feature and just point it where you are looking. It displays the names of everything in the sky and draws the constellations in for you. For many features you can click on a link to read more about that feature. You can also view "Tonight's Sky" and it will give you a list of features currently visible and you can have it point you in the right direction to see them. An amazing program for someone both interested and clueless about astronomy. I've laid down on the ground out in the Davis Mountains in West Texas and spent hours with it.Killing threads since 2004. xtravrtsoul 0 #3 November 26, 2009 I love my Urban Spoon app. If I am anywhere and I want a restaraunt I just use that app. Fun too.You create life, life does not create you.
