Recommended Posts

So I dont know why I am coming here.. But I will give it a shot! :P

I need advice on clothes. Here for about the last year all I have worn are my work clothes.. It easy, and my company washes them for me.. Plus the work pants are comfy.. :)
But its getting old, and I need to go shopping. I want to dress to impress... So i need ideas from the diverse community of Dizzy...

Ideas/ Suggestions? Here are some pics of me, so you can have something to compare it too..

I need ideas for stores, outfits, and all that like..

:)

Want some advice. Go to the mall, go to a store that sells clothes that match your personality (or the personality you want to project), find a woman who works there, tell her you've got a date and you want to look your best, watch her pick out clothes for you (and possibly flirt with you). Seriously, it works ...

PS: You don't need to buy everything she picks out. Just remember everything she picks out and then find stuff that is on sale that is similar.

You live in Texas. This is your look :P.

That said, Butters had a pretty good idea. It's even better if she's cute and you get to flirt with her.

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

They did a good men's makeovers show on Oprah last week. See here for what every man needs in his closet.

Wow, pretty in depth article there. Not sure every man is going to be able to absorb that kind of information. Lemme see a black belt AND a brown one? No. Sorry. That's way over my head.

Seriously. Who wrote that piece of crap?

Here are varieties of styles you could pick & choose from that best fits your character/personality, not necessary for you to shop at those stores to achieve a particular look...but you'll get the idea.

You may also find catalog fashions at Marshall or TJmax for alot less in price...depending on where you live.

Don't take advice from skydivers or you're likely to end up with a wardrobe of all bright shiny colors. :P

Check out the blog Put This On. That should get you started with casual and dressy mens fashions.

I love how you tell Ketia not to follow our advice.. Then you go and give him some advice!! :D:D:D

All joking aside, you should have posted this in the women's forum. Do not ask a (straight) man for advice on clothing, ever, unless it's how to look like you're still in high school. This is not a task to be left to amateurs and other incompetents. Take a female friend to the mall with you, tell her your budget (which she will double), and let her do her thing. A gay guy would probably do just as well, as long as you stay away from the pastels.
