Im ranting and venting

I am going on a rant please bear with me as I am totaly pissed!!!
This may end up in speakers corner but for now its here!

Last friday i had some flagstone deliveres for a patio I contracted to build. Sunday afternoon I went to get things organized! When I arived at the job site there was a guy loading the flag stone into his pickup. I approach him and said, "hey dude what up, What cha doing? Trying to be as non confrontational as possible. He replied. Just loading up this stone for a job I have to do. Why? you want some of it? Help me load it and Ill help you load some in your truck. I said I dont think so this stone is for a job I have right here in the back of this house.
He said This aint your stone its mine. I said no Its mine I have the reciept and delivery invoice right here. Now plaese put the stone back.
Now he gets beligerant. This is my FUCKING stone you ashole racist.
Racist? what the hell are you talking about I just want my stone back.
You fucking white cracker. you just dont want me to make a living you piece of shit Im outta here. and he went to get in his truck. I jumped into the bed of the truck and dialed 911 on my cell. When he realized I was in the truck he stopped and yelled at me to "Get the fuck out of his truck." The operator on the phone heard this while i was trying to tell her that this guy was taking my stone. She told me the police were on the way! I listened to him yell and threaten me for about fifteen minutes before the police showed up. When the police turned the corner he said. Get the fuck out of the truck and Ill unload the fucking stone. I stayed in the truck till the police pulled up.

The police got out of thier car and asked what was going on! this guy spouted off saying I was keeping him from taking his stone to his job site. he handed the police his business card. Some kind of land scaper. The police asked my why I wouldnt let him take his stone. I produced the bill of sale and the invoice. and said this is for my project at this home. they asked if the home owners owned the stone for the project. I said no. I bought the materials as part of my expenses for the project. They asked if the was a serial # or Identifying marks on the stone to match it with the invoice. I said " no other than the fact there is over 2000 pounds of red flagstone here in three crates as stipulated in the invoice.
The other guy said the stone had been on the street for two weeks and he was claiming it as found property. The police after several more minutes of discusion came to the conclusion that the stone was indeed mine. Then the guy started on the racist thing again claiming that a black man cant get any work in this town because of white asshole cops siding with white mother fucking trash who take whatever the fuck they want.The officer told him to leave and he went to get in his truck again.
I asked the officer about the stone he had already loaded into the truck. They said. since it was in his truck it was his property until i could prove it came from my delivery. About this time my helpers arrived. I climbed back into the pickup and told my guys to start unloading the stone. The guy came back to the rear of the truck and started yelling about fucking illegal mexicans and how they would work for a racist and how they were distroying the economy etc. He demanded that the cops stop my guys from taking the stone. One officer said "Well this looks like a civil matter, take them to court if you want the stone. and the went to sit in thier car. One of my guys pulled his car in fron of the truck to keeep him from driving away and we unloaded the stone. Once it was unloaded we dollied it into the back yard! (in case he decided to come back for it.) Jose then moved his car and the guy took off!

Today i got a notice I am being sued for the damage the stone did to the paint in the bed of his pick up!!!

Wow! First he is a thief and a piece of shit/ trash! you need to see if you can get the same cops to give you a police report to take to court. I cant believe they didnt arrest him.

And that racist crap pisses me off. People need to find a new reason for there life sucking. Like there worthless fucks

He already admitted that he just "found" it and decided to take it, and if the cops are going to be fucked up enough to say that he could keep the stuff in the bed of the truck, then hopefully they will be asshole enough to testify that they had no clue who did the damage to the truck. Basically a fucked up situation though, I feel for you. There is nothing more annoying than reverse racism. Hey, you should counter sue him for damage to the stone! Wouldn't it also be trespassing and theft if the stone was on private property?

unfortunatly the people who delivered the stone placed it on the street in front of the driveway. Liabilty issues if they damaged the home owners driveway. I couldnt authorize it and the home owners are out of town for the next two weeks.

As for what was in the pick up already the police couldn't verify that it wasnt there to begin with. My word against his. Thats why they said it was a civil matter. The police did file an incident report captioned with thier personal opinions.

Dude I really feel for you.. I had something similar (but *far* less serious) happen to me a couple of years ago..

I lived in an apartment block and one day this huge boiler shows up in the shared entrance next to one of the apartment doors.. The next day, the huge boiler and a bunch of boxes found themselves in the middle of the shared entrance, which was quite small to begin with.. After several weeks, I got really fed up one day because we had to carry a new bed up 7 flights of stairs because that fucking boiler was still there and blocking the elevator..

So I knocked on the door of the apartment where I thought the boiler/boxes had come from.. I asked very politely if she knew why there was this huge boiler in the entrance. She said yeah, it was hers but she couldn't move it and I was a racist bitch because she was black and she fucking *worked* for a living, etc., etc.. I was like "what??? This has NOTHING to do with the colour of your skin - I didn't even know you were black until just now - I just want you to get rid of your goddamned boiler"..

I think some people are deliberately confrontational this way when they know they are in the wrong. But holy shit I was pissed off. That's the lamest excuse I've ever heard. For all the times people are genuinely racist, calling out the racist card this way is just fucking stupid.

By filing this suit, he is saying that it was your stone, right??

And since you didn't put it there, he must have, right??

So hasn't he filed a suit that basically admits he stole the stone??

You might talk to your local cops/prosecutor and see what they say.

Edit to add: I'm not a lawyer, nor did I stay in a Holiday Inn last night, but if it was me, I'd go after this douche with everything I could.
