kmills0705 0 #38 October 12, 2009 Colts vs Patriots. I live in Indiana and grew up in New England. I will always be loyal to the Patriots. A couple years ago I had been seeing this guy and mentioned in casual conversation that I would kill to see the upcoming Colts/Patriots game here in Indy. He mentioned he had tickets. He said he would love for me to go with him and this other couple. Of course I said I would love to. So the next week we had been emailing each other and he mentioned it was going to be a great Colts game. I corrected with "You mean a great Patriots game". The email back was quite amusing. He said he completely forgot I grew up in New England and could quite possibly be a Patriots fan. He then proceeded to tell me the other guy might be upset with me rooting for the Pats. And then asked if I could pretend to not like football (let alone the Pats) and just say I wanted to be at the game to be with him. HA HA!!! How f'ing ridiculous and funny is that? So I replied with he better find someone else to go with because there was no way in hell I would "pretend" anything. And I never heard from him again. lost_n_confuzd 0 #42 October 12, 2009 There are many rivalries, but few can be compared to Bama vs Aurburn. There's an actual reason for the rivalry, and not just some made up prestige like many LSU or Texas games. The Iron Bowl is 24/7, 365; not just one day a year. Many rivalries remind me of Red vs Blue.
