FreeFlyer2100 0 #27 October 14, 2009 Anytime I force myself to have one of those "smell the roses moments" That moment when you take a deep breath and appreciate what you have and forget about what you want and what is bothering you. Sometimes it is after work and I am letting my dog run in the backyard. Always the first few seconds after landing my canopy and thinking about the jump I just finished. In these moments nothing else is running through my mind except thankfullness and that feeling of being rich.......

Agree, but to be clear, with the living within one's means aspect. No matter how much or how little I have made in my life at any given time, I have always felt rich planning and budgeting so I had money leftover to sit there and accumulate. Now, to live the lifestyle I have always dreamed is not yet within my budget which is a whole other meaning to your statement. In the meantime, I feel rich living rich within my budget. Where there is a will, there is a way. If I want something, I get creative, get smart and get it for a fraction of the price one way or another. Not only do I feel rich and get what I want, but I get a weird high from working the game and winning it. The less prideful I become, the more awesome I am at the game. Just today a man was well-researched, but far too full of himself. He was super-insulting and condescending trying to work me over. I was very nice (a difficult task for me in the face of an asshole), but ultimately (and in record time, with my fewest words spoken yet!) I got what I wanted and that is all that matters to me at the end of the day.
