Ashkit 0 #9 September 9, 2007 No it's not amway... Its a philosophy that states that you essentially invent your world from your thoughts. "The law of attraction" It's a book, film, and a meditation on audio you can purchase at Borders or online at The Secret.com. I had a hard time with it at first and by no means am I a die hard Secret embracer! But, the principals do make sense and more than that they seem to work, when really put into practice... The film is the easiest, quickest way to get it... Whether you think you can or can't either way you're right!

ACMESkydiver 0 #12 September 9, 2007 Edit: I guess I should clarify. Yes I actually do follow those principals for everyday life, so I guess calling it what I did before I edited it would have made me a hypocrite. Power of positive thinking, creative visualization, whatever you want to call it -has been around for centuries. It's nothing new, and it works great when you're working towards a very specific goal that requires great focus. The part that IS complete horseshit, in my opinion, is when people attempt to use this stuff to alter the will of God (yeah, screw you all, send this off to SC ) or karma or fate or whatever the hell you believe in. You can't cure cancer or become skinny and beautiful 'wishing'. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.

-Scatter- 0 #15 September 9, 2007 My problem with the secret and its ilk is it misses the most important step: Work your ass off Which, of course, doesn't sell videos/books/CDs/speaking tours/personal life coaches or whatever.
