It pays the bills, I have medical insurance and I enjoy the work. (minus the nut job and difficult patients) Knowing that I have made a difference in my little brother life. I can see that everday with his smile. I don't want to think what may have taken place if I didnt step in. Watching old episodes of Seinfeld and lmao at them. Telling the 8yr old he cant have ice cream and then after he goes to bed having the last little bit. It feels almost like when you were a kid sneaking a cookie out of the cookie jar without your mom knowing.Listening the the 8 yr old read his weekly stories. It seems like just yesterday he was learning how to read and now he reads 2-300 pg books at his level. Friends Sunsets/Sunrises over the beach Laughing at my sister and how much of a kluts she is. Remembering friends and family members that are no longer here by looking at photos and videos. Finding random little things and wondering why I kept them. Then realizing why I did and start smiling.
