Remster 30 #1 October 2, 2009 I mean, really... How stupid are these people???? Why on earth would you want to pay $40 more, plus exorbitant shipping fees, on a used item that you can buy new for a retail store? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250503828369#ht_500wt_990 vs. http://www.coloradocyclist.com/product/item/SSFIAS4WRemster

captain1976 0 #4 October 3, 2009 When someone sees something they like and its in front of their face, they often buy it. Its called impulse buying and every one of us is guilty of it at some point. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime

heavydude 0 #7 October 3, 2009 What I really hate about ebay: find weird cool old shit that only I would bid on....next thing some joker bids 4X my max. If I only was rich. Can get some good deals though..sometimes
ryoder 1,590 #8 October 3, 2009 Sure there are lots of clueless sellers that don't bother to look at the completed auctions, and waste their time and money asking ridiculous prices that won't sell. I laugh at them and move on. And why are you so cranky today? "There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. jonstark 8 #9 October 3, 2009 Using e-bay takes a certain amount of pre-purchase research and some patience. A smart buyer is first an informed shopper. Know what you are looking for is worth and go from there. There are lots of times that I will buy consumables for a job that are dropped at my doorstep by the US mail rather than getting into the truck and going 50 miles to the tractor dealer to pick it up for the same price. I balance cost/effort/simplicity out that way. Remembering that PT Barnam said "There is a seat for every ass and an ass for every seat." is a good mantra. Don't fall for what some seller claims is an incredible deal. Get a reality check first. jon

As was mentioned before, there may have been an availability problem or the winning bidder just didn't want to spend much time looking for the ~$33 difference.
