Nikki_vZ 0 #1 August 30, 2007 My account was hacked, and without my knowledge send a bunch of weird comments to a number of my friends. The comment looked like this: "ut oh, i know she wasn't supposed to put half-naked pics on her myspace page.. her parents are gonna be pissed! http://www.msplinks.com.RjpitztgwefrfoXfakjm.dEcxNNOpiHe.YVtNJuCOyyW.adeee837xd.cn" and if you click on the link, your account will be hacked to. So if you get any comments with weird links like this please delete it ASAP or if maybe you have already clicked on a link like this change your password! Just thought ill let everybody know. agent_lead 0 #5 August 30, 2007 it happens by clicking links like that... most of the time it will direct you to a page that looks just like the myspace log in page..when you log in..you are effectivlly sending whatever info you entered into the form to a third party who now has complete access to your account...that person then send s out messages to everyone on said persons friends list as they will trust it comng from a friend..and it goes on and on... just dont enter your password unless you click the home button on the top bar of myspace..and dont click strange links-------------------------------------------- www.facebook.com/agentlead

steveorino 7 #7 August 30, 2007 Reminds me of a hilarious story. One of my kid's friends received an email that said "would you like to send an attachment to your friends that will delete all their exe files? Click on this link." Of course the kid did thinking he would be the wise guy, and as soon as he clicked it, the virus started deleting his exe files. steveOrino

skymama 37 #11 August 30, 2007 Quoteand dont click strange links My ex told me yesterday that my daughter crashed his computer by clicking on a link on MySpace. He went into safe mode and found out that info. He's not too happy with her, because we've given those speeches dozens of time. I'm just glad it wasn't on my computer! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

Agreed, but I've not been hacked and me thinks it's because I don't click around while on that site and would never input my password other than at the main logon page. peek 21 #15 August 30, 2007 it happens by clicking links like that... QuoteBolas that's exactly how it happened to me. My dear, why did you do that?!!! (Serious question.) For the life of me I can't figure out why so many people just click on links that they are sent via email. Is it being in a hurry? Inattention? Trust? Just quit clicking on things if you don't know what they are.

floridadiver81 0 #18 August 30, 2007 Easy solution. When you click on crap on myspace keep an eye on the location bar. When it is different from the normal...you are about to send it to someone else....not myspace."Age has absolutely nothing to do with knowledge, learning, respect, attitude, or personality." -yardhippie "Fight the air, and the air will kick your ass!!! Nikki_vZ 0 #19 August 30, 2007 Well ive never before been hacked or anything and it was send to me by a trusted friend so i had no idea, when i clicked on the link it toke me to the homepage of myspace, which looked like it normally does, nothing funny, but it asked me to log in again...which i thought was strange, so i typed in my pass word again, nothing happened so i just left it, till now when i logged in again and i saw it was hacked...ive learnt my lesson though.... I got the same one from a friend I've known for quite a long time as well. It seemed not like him at all so I automatically thought it was a hack. I immediately emailed him to change his password. normiss 851 #24 August 30, 2007 I must disagree...it happens because people click on anything... I've never had a myspace issue, nor have my kids. We know better than to click on stoopid shit. I'm not participating a survey, a questionare, or anything else on myspace. I share pics with my kids and my friends...beyond that I have no use for myspace. but simply clicking on malware links is not the fault of myspace as it is the same as if you were to click on a hyper link received in an e-mail from someone unbeknownst to you.
