Had my heart surgery tuesday, I officially have heavy metal in my heart..LOL Everything went good, doc says I'm good to go, says I can skydive after next tuesday....don't think he quite understands the forces of opening shock, or a hard opening for that matter..think I will wait at least a month before jumping. I Jumped my ass off every weekend before the surgery just incase I was down for a bit.. Should be cleared to dive in approx 5months maybe sooner... porpoishead 8 #6 September 20, 2009 sup don...fitz, hell yeah, I plan on being there, count me in No valves bud...I got trashed diving deep out in the gulf last nov. ended up with a 1mm hole in the upper chambers of my heart from gas coming out of solution, that prevented me from ever diving again. From what the docs told me the amplatzer is the latest and greatest...success rate is 100%, where earlier devices and procedures had significant failure rates.. its a nickel and titanium mesh with polyester fabric inbetween..looks like 2 umbrellas when it came out of the cath. One on each side of the hole they screw both together to secure and detach. Pretty high tech surgery, they had some cool fucking toys... They weren't used to having young guys in there at all, their patients are usually older women.. the nurses were having a blast...it was very cold in there and I got all these super cute nurses pawing all over me, shaving me jamming me with needles and all that..I kept getting a hard-on, they would ask if it was cold in there...LMAO!! I'd say yeah its cold... Bent....yeah billy, I was above and beyond. I folded after I cleared the chamber the first time...without deco. Chambers I would have been wasted...shit hurt like a summna bitch.. thanks again errbody for the sympathy.....
