skyblu3 0 #1 July 14, 2005 I own an older Infinity container, manufactured in 95. It's a very nice rig with very good pin protection on both the reserve and the main. Everything seems to stay closed in all orientations. The only thing that bothers is me is the lack of bridle protection compared with more modern rigs. There is a little bit of exposed bridle running from the boc pouch to where it tucks under the closing flap. I was wandering is it possible for my rigger to add some kind of bridle protection. If somebody has done this do you have any pics?? I will be going to Empuriabrava later this year and i will discuss this with Colin, the rigger there. If I had some pictures perhaps I can give him some ideas!
bob.dino 1 #2 July 15, 2005 KellyF works at Infinity. Call or PM him and you can get a definitive answer. That said, on other containers (specifically Talons) it's an easy mod for a rigger.
Shark 0 #3 July 15, 2005 I doubt it would make any difference, but send Kelly an email if you really want it done. I have the little bridle slot on my new rig, but not on the "older" one from last year. I really don't tuck the bridle into it. Stays in fine, and less than an inch is exposed. skyblu3 0 #4 July 15, 2005 Hold on, you are not understanding me. My rig was made in 95, I have NO bridle protection what so ever. I am not talking about adding the new modification that Infinity have just come out with. I would like some simple form of protection for the extra bridle that runs between the BOC pouch and the right closing flap. I attached a picture of my rig so you know what I'm talking about. riggerrob 643 #5 July 15, 2005 "Back in the day" we used to just sew a bit of pile Velcro onto the bridle and a bit of hook Velcroonto the bottom flap if there was more than an unch of exposed bridle between the BOC and the side flap. Velcro works great as long as you replace it every hundred jumps. I have also sewn "after market" bridle covers on a bunch of Javelins. At arm's length they look like the current production standard. cheneyneel 0 #6 July 15, 2005 any rigger can hook you up.. Look at the current Javs right now and just mimic the way that they have done there standard protection.. I have seen many riggs modified...... I had an old infinity like yours and when I need some work on it the factory said I was out of luck that there was nothing they could do... nicknitro71 0 #7 July 15, 2005 Keep in mind that Kelly did not make that rig. Northern Lights did before Kelly (Velocity) redesigned the whole thing. Same name different rigs...Memento Audere Semper
Shark 0 #8 July 15, 2005 Judging by your picture you would be better served with a new BOC spandex. Like I mentioned, talk to Kelly to see what he could do. Technically yours was made by a different manufacturer as stated above, but he may be able to help. If not, see your local rigger.

Is there a new mod that Velocity has out for better bridle protection? I have a rig that is mfg 6/2003, I believe. Not that I'm really worried, or I think it's required, I figure I have excellent protection as it is, but I'm just asking because you all got me curious.
