amstalder 0 #11 September 8, 2009 On Fmylife.com today: Today, as I was walking through the park I had to yawn. In mid-yawn, with my mouth wide open, I walked right through a spider web getting both the spider and the prey it was eating stuck in my mouth. I'm perfectly fine with spiders of any shape and size ........unless one is "on" me. Then nothing else matters but getting the dam thing "off" of me! billeisele 130 #14 September 9, 2009 we call those Garden spiders, they make a huge web and get real fat - but harmless and help keep the bugs awayGive one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.

FlyingJ 0 #17 September 9, 2009 Quote If you live in Florida you are living in the banana spider capital of the US. No kidding. I ended up throwing myself backwards off an ATV several times upon realizing that my face was just inches from colliding with one of these monsters. Spiders don't bother me, but catching one in the face going 20mph down a trail is a rude awakening. They can bite and it gives you a bit of a welt but it's not harmful, just annoying. I've had worse mosquito bites. If you'd rather not kill it, usually just destroying their web will make them move. Might take doing it a time or two, but we found after clearing them from a trail they would usually move elsewhere. Can only imagine it gets annoying constantly rebuilding!Killing threads since 2004.
