Go to a drop zone, show some initiative that you are willing to work (packing) to buy gear and stay in this sport. If you did that at my dz I would be more than happy to help. To me you are no different than the lazy ass bums on the street corner with the "Will work for food" signs. They don't want to work, they want a hand out because it is easier than working and people out there who feel better about themselves when they give to those less fortunate. If I am more "fortunate" then it is because I have ethics and morals to work hard and get the things I want and need myself. You made it public business when you put out on a public website begging for money.
