Nataly 38 #1 August 31, 2009 After one week, I returned the motorcycle. I'm quite sad to see her go It has really confirmed that I want one, though. sickandtwisted 0 #3 August 31, 2009 I understand how you feel. Last week I got my Yamaha R1 out of the shop (after adding a Power Commander III, with dyno fuel mapping, a new rear tire, new stator, & suspension tuning). I had to drive in bumper-to-bumper traffic all the way home. Then it rained the rest of the week.I did get to ride 100 miles Saturday morning to Skydive Atlanta. But had to ride the 100 miles Sunday afternoon in the rain. BTW- Avoid riding in the rain on brand new tires Skymama stalker #69!!!!

warpedskydiver 0 #7 August 31, 2009 If you really pay attention and work on your skills and have proven yourself, I would someday let you ride mine if you came to SDC. But if you killed yourself, I would be pretty fucked up by that. Maybe a quick sprint down the runway! shut down at half way. I think you would not quit smiling after that. 165 HP can move. Harmless 0 #18 September 1, 2009 If you're hitting 6th gear your on the wrong road... or not riding right My bike doesn't even see 5th unless I'm on the interstate for more than 10 miles and trying to save gas. 2nd and 3rd are my most used gears. I'll give you 4th since you've got an SV. (great bike) "Damn you Gravity, you win again"

Nataly 38 #24 September 1, 2009 Quote A word to the wise, don't buy new. Look around and you can buy a nice second hand bike at half the price of a new one. That way you can use the saved money to buy gear. I'm weighing the pros and cons of this.. PRO: save money and avoid hearbreak when you invariably drop the thing CON: more expensive to maintain an older bike and potentially inherit problems caused by someone else. All in all, a used bike has its advantages, but so does new. I've always bought used cars, but cars depreciate far more in value, and cost an absolute fortune brand-new.. I also had the time, tools and money to maintain a used car at the time, but this is less true of my situation now.. I'm considering getting the same model I rented - a Honda CBF 125. It targets new/inexperienced riders, looks pretty good, is nice and manoeuvrable and is relatively affordable. It came out in 2009, so buying used isn't much of an option for this model.. But I have plenty of time to try out a few different bikes before I commit to getting one "There is no problem so bad you can't make it worse." - Chris Hadfield « Sors le martinet et flagelle toi indigne contrôleuse de gestion. » - my boss
