JerryBaumchen 1,363 #27 August 17, 2009 Hi cocheese, Quote 45th Parallel. Halfway between the north pole and the equator. Or halfway between the South Pole and the equator. Here the 45th parallel is just north of Salem, OR. It's out in the country, not real close to any town. Now for me ( and I am thinking that the OP means outside of the US of A ) would be Paris; only if it wasn't so darned expensive. One thing about this type of post: It does get us to dreaming. pinkfairy 0 #30 August 17, 2009 Sure, it looks all innocent in the midnight sun with blue skies and leafy, green trees and big, big wild flowers. But just give it a couple of months and it will soak your Gore Tex jacket all through. Main reason I'm not moving is work, though. Relax, you can die if you mess up, but it will probably not be by bullet. I'm a BIG, TOUGH BIGWAY FORMATION SKYDIVER! What are you?
davjohns 1 #31 August 17, 2009 I've always had a desire to head for Argentina.I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

wmw999 2,446 #46 August 17, 2009 Yeah, I guess I did it once too. Quit my job, packed my bags, and moved to the ancestral family summer home in NH. Started working as a packer & rigger at a DZ in Mass. Slept on the packing table over the weekend until I got an apartment. The gig lasted about 6 months, including the trip to Florida as part of a group, then I went back to Texas again, thoroughly refreshed. Without any built-up bills, too. And yeah, I also highly recommend it if you can swing it. Wendy P.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)
