blade12gpa 0 #4 August 17, 2009 http://www.engadget.com/2008/08/19/amds-ati-all-in-wonder-hd-gets-reviewed/ I have not checked in a while, but last i looked ATI was miles ahead in the tv tuner area. This i believe is the latest and greatest. Might give a scan on the ATI website and see if they have something better. Also something to look at is if your comp has AGP or PCIE. That will make a big difference.
aardvarkeater 0 #5 August 17, 2009 Hauppauge makes great tuner cards. I always use them. This one is the Cadillac at the moment. http://www.hauppauge.com/site/products/data_hvr2250.htmlMuff Brother #4026 Loco Zapatos Rodriguez SCR #14793

aardvarkeater 0 #7 August 18, 2009 How are you getting your tv channels. Sattelite, old analog cable, digital cable, over the air?Muff Brother #4026 Loco Zapatos Rodriguez SCR #14793
Cutaway68 4 #8 August 18, 2009 Make sure which ever one you get, that it has a ClearQAM tuner in it to work for the cable. You may still need the cable box to get premium content as that is probably scrambled. I have a Pinnicle PCTV ultimate stick(USB) that I use with my laptop. I am very happy with it. Don't Pull Low... Cutaway68 4 #10 August 19, 2009 Gary, Here is a link to a video about the tuner I have and enjoy a lot. I also have an older analog unit that works but not as well (different brands.) Again, there will be a lot of channels that you will only be able to access with a box from the cable company. The cable company scrambles the signal so they can charge for extra boxes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-w-6QZZvAw Don't Pull Low... Unless You ARE!!! ryoder 1,590 #12 August 19, 2009 Internal PC cards are so 20th century.Get one of these and any computer on your internal network can use it. In fact, two computers can use it at the same time, each watching a different channel: http://www.silicondust.com/products/hdhomerun_atsc http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815327005&nm_mc=OTC-Froogle&cm_mmc=OTC-Froogle-_-Video+Devices+++TV+Tuners-_-SiliconDust-_-15327005 "There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones.
