GaVak 0 #82 August 13, 2009 Quote Traditional Irish folk music. I grew up on the stuff and it's enjoyed by all in my little part of the world, but I'm not usually around people from my part of the world Wow, that triggers memories. My dad is from Ireland; he used to sing all sorts of old folk songs while playing his mandolin when I was a kid. I recall it made my Uncle Denis cry (in his cups of course) that I could sing most of them by heart (being an american and all that). Good times.Life doesn't need reasons, just participants. ARASH - "Pure Love" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7oHObnP1sGE If you care to hear Farsi. Enjoy! ps If you are......a little over the top. The Avalanches - Frontier Psychiatrist (Good Quality) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8BWBn26bX0 I introduced this song to a few friends while at university at a basement party. I still have no clue what the hell it's about! Life through good thoughts, good words, and good deeds is necessary to ensure happiness and to keep chaos at bay. The only thing that falls from the sky is birdshit and fools!

ifell 0 #87 August 13, 2009 Quote Quote [ seems you are close to a pretty hot PB scene out there, I'm out east so I don't get to see most of those bands very often... Been waiting on the The Dead Cats forever I visited their Myspace page. Saw they toured with the Supersuckers this year on their 20th Anniversary tour. Hell, they're just across the border from us. I like their Link Wray covers.Supersuckers hate the term cowpunk, but it fits somewhat. We saw them this year, had the old Seattle band Green River get back together to do the warm up for the Seattle show. That show took me back a lot of years, before Seattle got famous.I bet you'd like this one too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yb_juTPQJUc The Rev was just in town, but skydiving got in the way of seeing his show. Maybe this winter. Oh man I recall seeing SuperSuckers in 1995 with Bad Religion headlining, that was a great show that almost didn't happen due to some unfortunate trouble at customs... It would seem the Supersuckers didn't know someone had placed illegal substances in their van lol
