Tolgak 0 #1 August 10, 2009 While there are likely very few of you on this forum: Do well in class, get a job, socialize as much as possible, jump often, and be bold and suave for the women! (To women: be a bit more open and friendly to guys, damnit!) All of us who have gone through or are still in college have made many mistakes that can't easily be remedied without significant time and/or money commitments. I want all of you to know that confidence, patience, and a little impulsiveness can get you a long way in all of your pursuits. It's really that simple to be ready to embrace the experience. I bid all of you a good first year in school.Dropzones are terrible places for inspiration. What does one think when one looks up for a sign only to see a bunch of people falling? kallend 2,106 #2 August 10, 2009 I would add GO TO CLASS. We did a survey of grades vs class attendance rate for freshmen. The correlation was way better than anyone expected.... lolimfalling 0 #5 August 10, 2009 yes i understand what u meant but i dont understand why u said better than expected. u should expect a strong correlation. if u dont go to class you're not going to do well in it, its that simple.
cocheese 0 #6 August 10, 2009 my 2 cents: 1) Buy the good can opener. Not the cheap one. 2) Empty the bong water after each use.

I'm guessing that even students who could be expected to do well in a class without attending (I had two of those in college) can expect to do significantly better if they do attend. I didn't see where HE said anything about you expecting no correlation. Just what was your expectation going in...how far away from 1? And what was the final tally? 1? .95? .51?
