masterrig 1 #328 May 12, 2009 Their last game, it appeared that he tried to turn in place and suddenly went down on the ice. I heard on ESPN that he'd be out for at least the rest of the series. (?) Chuck
murrays 0 #329 May 12, 2009 I can't find anything on it...the only thing about Chara is that he returned and finished the game after being slashed in the ankle.-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
masterrig 1 #330 May 12, 2009 I tried to find more about it, too and like you... nothing. I didn't hear about it again on ESPN, either. Sounds like somebody jumped the repoting gun. Chuck
LaRusic 0 #331 May 12, 2009 yeah chara got slashed but came back, could be talking about the punch that aaron ward took, hes questionable with a possible broken orbital bone in his faceThe Altitude above you, the runway behind you, and the fuel not in the plane are totally worthless Dudeist Skydiver #

murrays 0 #333 May 12, 2009 Well...waddaya know! The Caps went to overtime and didn't score on themselves like the two previous games! Great to see these two teams take it to a seventh game! And just when I thought the Canucks were done they scored and are now only down 1 goal so we shall see......-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

You're a Pen fan...do you think Fleury has what it takes to go all the way? Not just this year...but any year. That Hawks game was a wild one...talk about not being able to stop a beach ball...put Luongo into that category. 23 savs on 30 shots..... .766 save percentage. Khabibulin not much better but the save he made on a deflection where he managed to knock it past the goal with his blocker was pretty amazing. Kane's third goal was a thing of beauty. If the Wings advance...it could be a pretty awesome series.-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

grimmie 186 #337 May 12, 2009 Fluery is either amazing or just another goalie. It all depends on his mood I think. Yes, they can win a Cup with him if he gets it all together. The Pens are much better coached now. Game 7 will be all about the goalies, like usual!
masterrig 1 #338 May 13, 2009 Do you believe Boston? Coming from a 3-1 defecit to tie the series? If, they win this series, it will be the first time since about... I think... 1939 a team has done that! Holy Cow! Watching the Wings - Ducks... sheesh... what a nail-biter. Chuck
blacklabjumper 0 #339 May 13, 2009 Wow the B's come back! 7th game at home. The looked like crap earlier in the series but it appears to be a case of the cream rising to the top. Would love to see a Chicago & Boston Final. It would be cool to see 2 of the original 6 play for the stanley cup and plus both teams haven't been very good for quite awhile. Although a Boston Detroit series I think would be a great series.Plus Detroit being one of the original 6Rodriguez Brother #1626 Dudiest Skydiver #1962 DPH #-

They won but once again drove me nuts with their sometimes casual attempts to clear the puck from their zone. Hiller was great...stopping 38 of 39 shots....which is way too many shots. Chuck, I don't know if I'm reading you right but the Capitals came back from being down 3-1 to beat the Rangers in the first round. Coming back from 3-1 has happened quite a few times. masterrig 1 #342 May 13, 2009 I must've been thinking of something else and confused myself. I hear so many stats thrown-out by the commentators... my bad! Thanks for straightening that out for me. All in all, these play-offs, both East and West have been well worth watching. Some great hockey! I wanted to see the Wings end their series with the Ducks last night but, they looked like they just couldn't get it together. They looked like they did in game three of this series. Let's see how they do on their home ice. Chuck

LaRusic 0 #344 May 14, 2009 its turning into a gong show. Happy for the pens for sure, but i woulda liked to see a bit more of a close game after all these 2 teams have gone through now its all up to the boston series, another game 7 The Altitude above you, the runway behind you, and the fuel not in the plane are totally worthless Dudeist Skydiver #
murrays 0 #345 May 14, 2009 Good grief! By the time I got my son home from karate it was 5-1 in the third and one of the Caps got a double minor for high-sticking as I turned on the tv. grimmie 186 #346 May 14, 2009 I tuned in to see a great game 7. Who knew the Caps didn't know there was a game 7.Anti-climactic ending to a great series. Who here thinks Crosby isn't great now????
masterrig 1 #347 May 14, 2009 It's plain to see, who wanted it more. Crosby was really getting after it! The kid is pretty impressive. That, was a good game. I'm not a big Pens fan but, that was definately, a good game to watch. Chuck
masterrig 1 #348 May 14, 2009 The Pens scored 2-goals twenty some seconds apart in the first minute of the second period! Good grief! Like you, I would liked to have seen a closer game but, the Pens were on fire. I look to see Boston come out on top in their series. Chuck
masterrig 1 #349 May 14, 2009 I'm hoping, the Wings can pull-out a win tonight. It's been a tough series and I'd like to see the Wings send the Ducks to the golf course and go-on to face Chicago. If, that happens, that will be a darned good series! Chuck
murrays 0 #350 May 14, 2009 No matter who wins in either series tonight...let's hope we get two great games with all teams leaving it all on the ice! Cheers, Murray
