PhreeZone 20 #2 July 3, 2009 If you are on Cable you've been digital for a long time already. If you are having issues like that call the cable company since you have issues on the line. My guess is your cable system is NOT delivering to you in digital. The DTV switch was ONLY mandated for over the air transmission. If you don't get your TV through a TV antenna, then it might not of had an effect on you whatsoever. Digital TV is pretty dang binary in it's reception. Usually you either have it or you don't (unless it's right AT the margin). With analog you'll get a crappy picture, snow, ghosting . . . but it's still viewable even if it's crappy. With digital, usually it's either excellent or non-existent. On the margins it will break up and freeze but it's very clear that it's a digital issue because when it does so it does it in mosaic blocks. Is that the issue?quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

billeisele 130 #8 July 3, 2009 if you have a cable box that may be the issue, mine was doing the same thing, call the cable company and they can check it remotely and "fix" itGive one city to the thugs so they can all live together. The_Don 0 #9 July 3, 2009 Mosaic blocks. Yep! Sucks. No cable box. New TV, no two channels are the same! SUCKS!!! I am NOT being loud. I'm being enthusiastic!
DavidB 0 #10 July 3, 2009 I'd complain loud & long at the cable company. Ultimatum time: Fix this crap or I go satellite! We went to satellite from cable 4 years ago & the difference in picture quality is astounding. Audio quality is improved like video quality is also! My audio outputs are split. One set runs to the TV, one set to the old Pioneer SX-727 receiver/amp (makes a good FM signal sound like the DELUX 3 Watt push-button AM radio in my 68 Dart!).When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. Beachbum 0 #11 July 3, 2009 Same here ... antenna/converter box (according to reports I checked beforehand, one of the better ones) ... and local channels come and go without me changing anything, get the mosaic effect a lot (same thing on sound), or channels just go completely ... might come back an hour later. Seems even more effected by small weather changes than the nondigital was, and when it is effected, instead of just a little blurby part now and then you get nothing at all. I wasn't in favor of it to start with, now I've tried it for a while I'm even more convinced! Another thing politicians had no business messing with that they screwed up when they did get involved. As long as you are happy with yourself ... who cares what the rest of the world thinks?
