IIRC it stipulates "NO SPIRALING". No, I haven't been to that dz... If the turns he made qualify as "spiraling" then he shouldn't have done them.*I am not afraid of dying... Teigen 0 #55 April 1, 2010 Does the holding area qualify as the landing area? Also, people are doing low hooks all the time there.. Some of these rules seem close to impossible to enforce..

It just said "NO SPIRALING". Obviously there is a big difference.BASE 1384

pinkfairy 0 #58 July 29, 2010 Hi, stumbled on your video on youtube, and had to check out if you posted about this on DZ.com. Of course you didPeople here are rightly pointing out that spiralling wasn't a good idea in this case. You lost all vertical separation to people who exited before you or have faster canopies. It's an unpredictable way of flying and and makes it harder for other people to avoid you. Have you tried flying on half brakes or rear risers to stay up longer, thus creating extra vertical separation? That was really close and I hope you learn from this. Yes, other skydivers, the jump plane and your gear can kill you, but the biggest risk factor is still yourself. Take care! Relax, you can die if you mess up, but it will probably not be by bullet. I'm a BIG, TOUGH BIGWAY FORMATION SKYDIVER! What are you?
