k-dubjumps 0 #1 June 23, 2009 I am an avid fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) through their Team in Training (TNT) program. I made a fundraising arrangement with my DZO. For every tandem/video/AFF referral I send his way, the DZO will contribute varying amounts to my fundraising efforts. So far I've sent two tandems with video and two AFF graduates his way which as resulted in $270 towards my fundraising efforts so far. I started another thread the other day about men being intimidated by my skydiving and I made the comment that maybe I should post on craigslist asking if any hot guys wanted to go skydiving. A lightbulb went off. If any men actually respond and are serious about it, that's more referrals for me and more money for LLS. So I posted the ad on craigslist yesterday and have gotten a couple of respondents that seem to be legitimately interested. I'm laughing at myself because I do have standards when it comes to men, but I'm looking at some of the responses and thinking, "he'll do" (when he normally wouldn't) just because I want the contribution from my DZO. I kind of feel like I'm pimping myself out. I've been responding to them with the cost and a link to the DZ site. There have only been two responses so far. I honestly didn't think I would get any. It was more of a joke more than anything else. I was feeling a little spunky at the time I posted it. And I am letting them know that they aren't my type, but if they still want to go skydiving to let me know.
