skymama 37 #3 June 8, 2009 Now that you've bought all of that, we're assured not to get a hurricane this year. Thanks! SARLDO 0 #4 June 8, 2009 Thanks for reminding me. I found myself without power for a while a few years ago up in Jax and won't do that again. I need to go buy a generator and small portable A/C unit (can't sleep in the humidity). Water...lots and lots of water."Always do right. My sisters house is only a few minutes away and they have a built in generator which runs everything from the kichen sink to well you get the point.. So we would be there if there is no power..I have a few headlamps so we are good there plus, my booster box has flood lights...and I can charge my phone with it...TPM Sister#130ONTIG#1 I love vodka.I love vodka cause it rhymes with Tuaca~LisaH You having a clean thought is like billyvance having a clean post.iluvtofly

JohnRich 4 #9 June 8, 2009 QuoteWhat is on you stock up supplies list for the season? The only thing I'm adding this year that I haven't already had is two 5-gallon gasoline cans, so I'll have an extra 10 gallons on tap to get around with while the electricity is out and the gas pumps are down. skybill 22 #19 June 9, 2009 Hi 431, Things that make light in the middle of the night!! Flashlights, candles and lanterns!! These new LED or whatever flashlight bulbs are cool. From daze gone by we have from my mom-in-laws' house 3 old coal oil (as we used to call kerosene when we were kids) lamps!! They are quiet (don't make a lot of noise like coleman lamps) and can burn for hours. Just remember with candles and any petro powered lamp, "It's Fire!!" and be careful!! Also add a deck or two of cards and a good portable radio.SCR-2034, SCS-680 III%, Deli-out

porpoishead 8 #21 June 10, 2009 I'm all prepared too... insurance is paid, and i know right where the gas stations are...all the supplies and gear in the planet are worth a fuck when the water is a couple of inches from your ceiling, a tree just smashed through the middle of your house etc..... be sure and keep some medical supplies around too..... especially if drinking. responders will be cut off or too busy trying to rescue people that were to stubborn to get the fuck up out of the way of a pissed off storm. I love all of my shit as much as anybody...but none of it would mean jack shit to me if one of my kids got fucked up because I tried to ride one out.... all that aside hurricane parties are fucking great, enjoy yourselves!! if you want a friend feed any animal Perry Farrell
