Should I be worried?

I got a bug bite on my leg a few days ago. At first I thought it was just a typical mosquito bite. I've been extra sensitive to them my entire life. If I can refrain from scratching them it takes at least 2 weeks for them to go away.

Well this one seems a bit different. 4 days after the bite appeared, there is a red circle 2 inches in diameter around it and it has a bit of puss in it. I think I've gotten most of the puss out but it's still a bit hard to the touch. It's not warm and the redness is hard to see but it's there. Should I be worried yet? Or should I give it another day or two?

The redness isn't quite as severe. I tried taking a picture of it but you can't see the redness in the picture.

I had a bite like that once that was from a horsefly. I ended up having to get a prescription cream from the doc. If it's bothering you, certainly get treatment for it.

As long as it isn't a real obvious bulls eye like the pic- right now I say meh..

we are real experts on lyme ticks up here in NE as the pesky little buggers bite everyone who goes outside. Even the doctors here seem to be very apathetic about it....prolly wouldn't hurt to get tested anyway.

It's not itching or anything...just red. Slightly warm to the touch but not bad.

I scratched the very center a bit but that was yesterday...it's pretty much red by itself.

I was told to do that by Deedy to see if the redness spreads outside the marker. If it does then it's time for serious concern.

They probably can't identify the insect, but you'll get some treatment.
