wmw999 2,534 #1 June 8, 2009 Re-done to include wuffo Old votes: Whufo 2 Whuffo 12 Whafo 1 Wuffo 2 (write-ins) I got two emails on Friday with different spellings for non-skydivers. So I asked my husband how to spell it, and got yet another. And none of them matched how I'd spell the name. So, what better source of expertise than Bonfire And if you have another spelling, feel free to volunteer it, along with why it's better Wendy P.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. skyjumpsteve 0 #4 June 8, 2009 Definitely "Whuffo"....they even have their own website: http://whuffo.net/ Urban Dictionary also agrees: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=whuffo
quade 4 #5 June 8, 2009 Never understood the standard spelling of "whuffo" since it's supposed to be a contraction/dialect of "what for." To me it seemed like it would make more sense to spell it "wha'fo'." However, the term and spell was in place well before I ever strapped on a rig so who am I to say?quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
