Cutaway68 4 #1 May 31, 2009 I saw this on the Travel Channel. It's called Terminal Velocity. Looks kick ass! Anyone from the Wisconsin area try this yet? Don't Pull Low... Unless You ARE!!! The pessimist says, "It can't get any worse than this." The optimist says, "Sure, it can." Be fun, have safe.

SansSuit 1 #4 June 1, 2009 I didn't do the ride but I did a bungee at Extreme World in the Dells. I watched the Terminal Velocity thingy and thought it looked a little lame. The key is that with the harness and body position all you can do is fall on your back into the net. You are looking up the whole time so I imagine that any visual stimulation might be lacking. But hey, give it a shot. Let us know how it is. Maybe I'll do that and another bungee.Peace, -Dawson. http://www.SansSuit.com The Society for the Advancement of Naked Skydiving

skyjumpenfool 2 #10 June 1, 2009 All the Wisconsin jokes aside, that ride looks really, really average?? Come on over to Taylor Falls, WI along the St. Croix River and we'll do a little cliff diving. That's right... some good old Wisconsin Extreme Sport! Not the fake, safety net, commercial crap. Extreme Sports are for extreme athletes! wmw999 2,452 #11 June 1, 2009 OK, I just gotta put on my pedantic hat here. Any fall is subterminal up until it's terminal. When I jump off the curb, I'm going subterminal. That said, the ride looks like it's as safe as they can make a free fall. They probably don't want to get sued when someone's 1 1/2 somersault doesn't make it quite all the way around and they fall on their head. Wendy P.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. mdrejhon 8 #12 June 1, 2009 QuoteI saw this on the Travel Channel. It's called Terminal Velocity. Looks kick ass! Anyone from the Wisconsin area try this yet?I road a ride similiar to the Skycoaster at the same park (as this Terminal Velocity ride) sometime in 1996, cemented my decision to try a tandem in 1997. (Eight years later, I became a student.) I suspect that a few of these 'extreme' rides, did bring a few skydivers into the fray... Now they're just, em, tame rides... iluvtofly 0 #13 June 1, 2009 Despite skydiving I still absolutely love roller coasters and those cheesy thrill rides. For some reason they scare me more than skydiving and I absolutely love that adrenaline rush that fear brings.
piratemike 0 #14 June 1, 2009 As a previous poster mentioned, it's not a terminal velocity ride, but I'd try it if it didn't cost a lot. I still like some of these sorts of rides. Last time I went bungee jumping I wasn't very impressed though.
Sangi 0 #15 June 1, 2009 Maybe they should add like a couple of 2000 feet towers and the ride might live up to it's name..."Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean
