Some video jumps a tandem and a freefly on Saturday. I ended up owing myself a bottle for saving my life. BTW, terminal reserve rides with full camera gear suck ass... my neck is sore! Jumpervint 0 #9 June 1, 2009 -:2:1 Very slow weekend after the big blowout last weekend. Our 'Van only flew 5 loads all weekend after flying 50 last weekend. I was pressed into service as a tandem video guy today - our cam guy had a bad back. On the second jump I had a brake line blow up on a hard opening, so I elected to chop it. Got the tandem landing and then spent 3 hours looking though the alfalfa field for my free bag and reserve pilot chute. Beer owed for my first reserve ride this century - the first in 30 years. ladydyver 0 #11 June 1, 2009 :2:0 the good news is doc came home from a week boys trip....need to get rid of that pent up aggression - 2 jumps. pretty windy sat and no one was out to play this weekend. assume everyone is still recovering from memoriald day weekend. had to work sunday pm so had to leave early; but i heard a friend of mine who was doing his first paid camera jump had to cutaway due to broken lines.......DPH # 2 "I am not sure what you are suppose to do with that, but I don't think it is suppose to flop around like that." ~Skootz~ I have a strong regard for the rules.......doc! I also completed 12 hours of free fall 1 second after leaving the step for jump #812 (per my protrack)... which is my beerable offense... Both Sat and Sun Started with us arriving at the DZ @ 0615 and not leaving until 8:30-9:00 PM... and man am I tired... All in all a great weekend... I'll bring my Beer out next weekend... possibly in the form of root beer floats... Now that Summer is starting to ramp up...Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife...
