Radiance 0 #1 May 31, 2009 Not sure if ya'll can help me or not, and maybe it's a stupid question...But - I was riding with a friend on his motorcycle, and I noticed that as we would pass another bike, the driver would hold out their left hand, low down, and extend 2 fingers. shah269 0 #5 May 31, 2009 Roger. That is to say all is well. If the oncoming rider is tapping his or her lid it means watch out 5-0 incoming check your speed. One finger down indicates bad road conditions.Life through good thoughts, good words, and good deeds is necessary to ensure happiness and to keep chaos at bay. shropshire 0 #13 June 1, 2009 The very best piece of etiquette that I can ask for ... from cage drivers is ....... Please don't kill me. In the U.K the norm, these days when overtaking a fellow motorcyclists is a subtle left hand wave (remember we ride on the correct side of the road). For on-coming chums, it's a subtle head nod .... nothing over zealous or tacky... We are Brits, after all said and done. (.)Y(.) hookitt 1 #14 June 1, 2009 Some people say hi some don't. Wave, low wave, peace sign ... or this ==> Biker Waves <== Pointing at hazards is good either with the foot, or just point at it. Tap on the head, ... LEO presence. Flipping people off is common sometimes since a local motorcycle forum made it popular. I wouldn't chance doing it since not all riders read the forums. There's more when necessary but yeah, the guy was saying hello. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
