jumpingjunkie09 0 #1 May 29, 2009 Lately I find that I am talking so much on the phone that Im having to charge my battery more than once per day. Even more unusual, its pretty much consistently with one person. For hours. (of course this varies day to day, but generally speaking we have devoted a LOT of hours to each other on a daily basis) I would guess that I spend an average of 6 hours or more per day on the phone. Two months ago I would have said 1 to 2 hours. So how much is too much??? Or is there even such a thing?I am "ROGUE" (III Degree Smutsketeer) Official "poster above you" thread starter "And don't forget we like men with balls and no needle dicks. RastaRicanAir 0 #8 May 29, 2009 I hate the phone. If possible I talk on it less than necessary. I think it's a gender thing. Guys are basically less equipped for extended babble. (No offense Divot. But you're a girl.) I only have one guy friend who's known to talk on the phone for more than :10 at a time and it keeps me from talking to him as much as I should because I know it's going to be a slog. Plus I always suspect I'm not really getting my due of the person's attention, and I know they're not getting mine. And it gives you head cancer. Also, when I am on the thing I find I habitually pace around the room the whole time, which makes me tired. NWFlyer 2 #10 May 29, 2009 I voted 3-5 hours, but nearly all of that is for work. I work with a team that's scattered around the country, so communicating by phone, email, and instant messenger is our SOP. For work calls I use my desk phone or work BlackBerry, and since the bill doesn't come to me I've no idea how many minutes I might use a month. My personal phone plan has 900 minutes a month and I don't come anywhere close to using it (especially when you consider that most of my calls are to my "5 faves" and/or off-peak calls)."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. Sapphire 0 #11 May 29, 2009 I used to live on the phone both talking and texting - ex lived far away and all. Now, I'm rarely on the phone - talk to my sis in NY and grandparents some... rest of the conversations are short, friend convos at work. Got me thinking now, I should prolly lower my plan since I never use my minutes... Nataly 38 #17 May 29, 2009 Although on average I spend about 2 hours on the phone per week (mostly at work), I *can* relate to having a strong connection with someone and spending hours on end on the telephone with him.. (And I really *hate* talking on the phone.) I knew this one guy in highschool and we used to talk to each-other straight through the night and never get bored of it.. Just go with it.. You might never meet anyone else in your whole life who just *gets* you. Enjoy it BTW, this guy turned out to be seriously gay, but to this day, he's the one person I can say *anything* to, and he just *never* judges. DrewEckhardt 0 #25 May 30, 2009 My California company has two employees in Texas, and when I'm working with them I spend some time on the phone. Otherwise I use my phone as little as possible, mostly just to text message my wife that I'm riding my bicycle home so that if I get run over or shot and am lying on the side of the road in pain she can find me and call an ambulance.
