This year I have 28 vacation days. After the summer I will still have 10 days left, and I'm not sure how I'll use them. Last year I had 6 days I did not use. g"Let's do something romantic this Saturday... how bout we bust out the restraints?" Raddest Ho this side of Jersey #1 - MISS YOU OMG, is she okay? NWFlyer 2 #4 May 27, 2009 I get 20 days off per year (including floating holidays) right now, and after my first year of employment (which will be at the end of August), I'll go up to 25 per year... not too bad. Those are in addition to seven designated holidays. The challenge is that my S.O. gets about half that so any joint travel/vacation decisions generally need to be made based on his time restrictions. DrewEckhardt 0 #10 May 27, 2009 I used to take vacations, making time for two one week trips a year. Some how life got too busy and I have taken at most two days off in the last 3.5 years (I spent a weekend each in Vancouver, Victoria, and San Francisco for my three anniversaries anmay have taken Friday off for two of those). There just isn't enough time to take holidays, let alone vacations. On Memorial day weekend Saturday, Sunday, and Monday I worked from some time between 11am and 1pm to sometime between 3 and 5am except for Sunday when I took two hours off to visit my father who'd flow 3000 miles to see me and a couple hours on Saturday and Monday to get food with my wife. When changing jobs it does make for a nice increase in savings though.
BDashe 0 #11 May 28, 2009 We accrue PTO (paid time off) as we work. im in the 2-5 year bracket and accrue 22 days annually- that includes holidays, vacation, sick days, and personal days. PTO is any and all paid time off, sucks. every 2 weeks i accrue roughly 6.5 hours of PTO, 8 hours equalling one day off. the catch is, being in sales, i can't leave the office if my numbers are low. in this ever so inspiring economy, no one is buying so i get stuck in the office. memorial day was the first day off since new years- the office was closed for the holiday. i want a vacation! So there I was... Making friends and playing nice since 1983
