So you're saying it reads..."POOP" now?...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you! ryoder 1,590 #7 May 20, 2009 OK, seriously: Go googling for the make/model name/numbers. You may pull up links to mfgr service information. If that doesn't work, then just try looking at the mfgr website for any service info at all, on the product line. If you still haven't found anything, then try a local appliance repair shop."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. rlucus 0 #9 May 20, 2009 Yes they can fixed... if you don't have electrical experience I recommend you take it to a professional. More than likely it is a simple LCD plugged into the control board by a ribbon cable... if this is the case then anyone with basic micro electronics skills could replace it with the right part. (Which should also be cheap if it is available)

normiss 798 #13 May 20, 2009 I gave a serious answer. I couldn't tell you the last time I used a microwave. I cook all the time, quite good at it actually. No nuker for me thank you. I don't like the way they heat things...at all.
rlucus 0 #14 May 20, 2009 I'm horrible about fixing things... usually end up costing more the first time around... but then I've learned something new and can do it better the next time. I can't tell you how many times I've taken something apart to fix one thing and ended up breaking something else inside it. Latest was my Ipod... broken LCD $20, broken clip on main board while replacing the LCD $
madhatter 0 #15 May 20, 2009 My microwave's LED hasn't worked for 5+ years now. Press the clear button a few times, select the options & time required & press start. It's quite simple if you trust yourself to push the right buttons A VERY MERRY UNBIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! D.S #
