I've seen this before.. Although it all looks pretty revolting, I confess that it made my tummy growl!! :$

I think I'm just extremely lucky to have grown up in a family that always prepared everything fresh.. We never ate out and didn't have *any* junk in the house. That's probably why I don't crave "convenience" food & therefore find it pretty easy to avoid.

Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup!

Totchos

Tater Tots covered in ground beef, jalapeño peppers, cheese, salsa and sour cream.

I just wet my self with excitement!
I love Tater Tots!

I just like good food.

Today I had tasty little morsels like a pimento pepper stuffed with dungess crab. Scallop crudo in a nice squid ink vinegarette. A chorizo empanadilla. I wanted a little goose confit served with tomato marmalade but they were out.

I ate my wife's tasty potato salad with red potatoes, the skins on, and cayenne pepper. Plus her killer salsa (it has secret ingredients) with the scoop-shaped chips. I ate a little extra with a spoon - it's that good.

I like beer too. First there was the Drake's IPA. Then there was the Arrogant Bastard.

I indulge myself in other ways on other days. My mouth waters thinking about dates stuffed with chorizo wrapped in bacon with a nice maple glaze. The frittatas. The tacos - asada, cabeza, tripa, al pastor; obviously served with a grey-market cane sugar coke in a glass bottle. Sometimes a German pancake for breakfast.

I always liked eating. When I got married I realized that I could travel for both sports and fine dining. On my honey moon I had cabrito for the first time, fresh sunfish, the most decadent flan ever, squid in their ink, and churros y chocolate from a place that had been serving them since 1894.

When I broke myself and got old food became my favorite hobby.

Yum.

I know why I'm fat. Because I eat like this. Sure, people tell me I should be eating nuts and twigs. But they don't taste as good.

I'd like to lose some weight...

You live in a year-round warm climate. Get out there and run a couple times a week. That's 90% of how I keep too much weight off - only about 10% of it is my diet choices.

I don't know what the stats are, but I think genes/metabolism must be the number one factor of where your weight range lies.. Followed by lifestyle, which includes many things other than just the food you eat.

Again, not attacking this from a scientific point of view, but I reckon stress is probably worse for your health than junk food.

That being said, your lifestyle/attitude is all you can adjust to affect your weight unless you're prepared to go the plastic surgery route.

Conclusion: a combination of unlimited funds, lots of work, and no stress should solve everything!!! :D:D:D

I used to be a real fatty. Then I did something extremely unhealthy and lost 80 pounds in about 12 weeks (80 hour work week and a full load of Uni summer school - no time to eat or sleep and physical labor). I was 20.

After that I put on about ten pounds and used to run 30-50 miles a week. I did this until about 2000. I ran so much because the only time my knee felt good was while running.

I wish I had more cartilage in my knee and a complete ACL. Cycling hurts it. Swimming just bores me.

It's pretty difficult to find an aerobic exercise that I enjoy and won't put me in crutches within a couple of years. I'd rather get a knee replacement when I'm 60 versus when I'm 40.

My wife is hotter than your wife.

I had a Monte Cristo at Bennigan's once... I was there with a male friend of mine and he ordered a caesar salad. When the food came, the server dropped the salad off to me and the sandwich to him.

I was like, "thanks for assuming, dick, I'll be your fatty here this evening :)"
I think I've found a way for you and I to finally fly free.

My son ordered one once. The first bite was really good. But between us we were completely unable to finish it (and he's not small). It was just.....too.....much

I husband ordered a burger at Chili's the other night which I thought looked disgusting, so I looked up the calorie count online. It had 1500 calories and 70 grams of fat! :S That doesn't even include the calories in the fries and Coke he had with it.

Good thing I ate some his fries off his plate for him or he would have had even more calories. :)

That just leads to depression.

In that case, it was more of an, "I told you so". ;)
