tkhayes 348 #29 May 15, 2009 I am from Newfoundland, and growing up there, EVERYONE knows someone who hit a moose or was killed by hitting a moose, or hit a moose themselves. Seen a bunch of those accidents and came very close myself once when I was in college. Back there this past summer, we almost hit one with the RV, mother and calf running across the road. The calf slipped and fell, then scrambled out of the way by about 10 feet or so. Back in the day of larger heavy cars, it might have been less of a problem, but today for sure, ANY collision with a moose is a bad thing. send pics of the car!!
