low_pull1 2 #1 May 5, 2009 im trying to put a price on a used black vector II, about 300 jumps maintained by the USMC, made in 1993. also a 1995 raven II ,218, i think it has zero jumps per the Pack card. i put $1100 on the combo with free nimbus 220 main. is this fair? or should i lower/raise the price? Havent jumped in a 2 yrs and not in tune with todays resale prices, so im inquiring here.
skyjumpenfool 2 #2 May 5, 2009 Like everything else bought and sold... it's worth exactly what you can convince someone to pay for it. No more, no less! Pics would help... try the classifieds. I look there all the time, so do others. Good luck. p.s. Don't sell it, start jumping it!!!Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky." Heatmiser 0 #6 May 5, 2009 Ah.... such as the Delta Cloud, Swift reserve, and the MT-1x? Come to Oklahoma, they're all still in service, (although I havent flown the reserve,). We have several Para-Flite mains still in service as student gear. Make your own judgements. What you say is reflective of your knowledge...HOW ya say it is reflective of your experience. My reserve canopy is a Swift 5-cell which I have flown twice and made stand-up landings 1 and a half times (My 2nd landing on it was a stand-up for the split second after my feed hit the dirt until just before I planted my face in the same dirt. Actually I think I tripped on some cowsh*t.)
skybytch 273 #8 May 5, 2009 Container is worth about $100-200. Reserve is worth maybe $400. Nimbus is worth maybe $100. I'd say $1100 is just a bit overpriced...
