Me too I am far from being a beauty queen, and don't really see myself as a sex symbol type. I don't see myself as butt ugly (but beauty is always in the eye of the beholder, no?), so I feel I fall into the average category. g"Let's do something romantic this Saturday... how bout we bust out the restraints?" livendive 8 #32 April 22, 2009 QuoteIt makes me think of "Ivory Girl" pretty. Naturally pretty with no help from lots of make up, hair product, athletic and in shape, good personality. Pretty much that. A woman who can be comfortable in sweats, without make-up or her hair "done", and make it look good. I consider it a very attractive trait. skymama 37 #33 April 22, 2009 To me, the girl-next-door is Maryanne, as compared to Ginger and Lovey. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
VanillaSkyGirl 6 #34 April 22, 2009 The girl or boy next door are about the same in characteristics. People nowadays have too many expectations, when all we really want and need deep down is to find someone who will be real with us. If I found a boy next door, who was heading down a similar life path as I am, I'd actually consider marrying. In many ways, my ex-fiance was the "boy next door". The "next door" type is a person who is sweet, kind, down-to-earth, and someone, whom you might have grown up playing with in the neighborhood. It's that person who was there all along, but one summer, things changed...you both grew up a little and began noticing one another in a different way. After that, things were never the same. He became the first crush. The one that you first noticed, and began thinking about. It's that person whom you associate with homey, comforting things. The one who was still around, when you began going home from college. It's the person, who shares history, family values, and it's the one whom you could swim bike and BBQ with as a kid, before you worried about things like looks, money or social circles. Everyone has a "next door" person, whom brought wonderful moments to their youthful memories. It doesn't have to be a person who literally lived next door to us. It can be a family friend, a school crush, your sister or brother's friend, etc. I hope that I'm seen as a "girl next door" type to someone, too. airtwardo 7 #35 April 22, 2009 Quote To me, the girl-next-door is Maryanne, as compared to Ginger and Lovey. Again..it depends on where ya live! We're on a private drive with 4 homes on it, I've got one of each as neighbors! Maryanne is great when borrowing a cup of sugar, but Ginger out by the pool ....well, let's just say it took me a while to figure out why my 18 year old cuts the grass 3 times a week! ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~
