snafuhere 0 #1 September 7, 2005 I have an Odyssey J3K with Spectre 170 main. Want to change to Spectre 150 or Sabre2 150. Will the container be OK with smaller main? Any experience on that subject here? https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
mjosparky 4 #2 September 7, 2005 Sunpath has some experience with that subject. Why not contact them? SparkyMy idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
snafuhere 0 #3 September 7, 2005 I did. But experience of users is also interesting. Manufacturers are biased... https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
GravityGirl 0 #4 September 7, 2005 Why would a manufacturer be biased as to what size canopies fit into various sized containers? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!

nbblood 0 #6 September 7, 2005 I have a Javelin J3 with a Sabre2 150 in it. It fits just fine. Blues, NathanBlues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute.
skybytch 273 #7 September 7, 2005 Quote Why? Well, to get another order? I doubt any manufacturer would stay in business for long if they made a habit of that. A 150 sq ft zp main will fit in a J3 no problem. Don't forget to shorten the closing loop a bit.
GravityGirl 0 #8 September 7, 2005 QuoteWhy? Well, to get another order? Anyway. Users experience counts. LOL. Well. I guess. But customer saticfaction seems much more valuable than a quick order. You will likely be buying many more rigs in the years to come. I think Sun Path is aware of that. Also if they tell you it wouldn't fit, just to get you to buy a new rig, they risk you switching to another brand. If you are really paranoid, you can call and just ask for a sizing sheet to be faxed to you. IMHO, your 150 will be a comfortable fit. But I always check with the manufacturer's spec sheets before making recommendations. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear! She just sells gear for a living and is probably lying to you to get you to order a new rig from her. You are going to jump a rig made by people that you think will lie to you about is size...... The original poster can't trust them to answer a simple question that they probably have published spec sheets on anyway, but he trusts them with his life by jumping their rig? Everybody knows Javelin makes great containers. Of course I have asked Javelin first (no reply since). BTW - isn't it, that different canopy models pack different? Just by looking at some general charts this is difficult to figure out what fits what. Thanks for the chat https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
