I am wondering if any of you maybe has experienced with this, and could give me some advice in regards to application process and how to increase my chances for acceptance into internship? AggieDave 6 #4 April 20, 2009 As with any LE agency, understand that there will probably be a background check and a polygraph. Be honest. Lets say you lie about smoking some pot back in high school. Then you like your internship and you try to get hired. Then while doing your background check they find out you smoked pot in high school and that was 10 years ago. Now lets say that its not enough to prevent you from getting the job, but since you lied about it, now you are untrustworthy and prone to falsehoods. This is in a job in which the number-1 commodity that you have is you integrity. Think that might cause a problem? Also, be prepared for the job to be absolutely nothing like the DEA show on Spike. Also be prepared for the job to be nothing like an episode of COPS. Most people are very surprised when exposed to real police doing real police work.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
