Open source software is available. Linux. Open Office is free and compatible with Microsoft Office. You see more linux laptops hitting the market because of the lower price point.

The only problem is, if Microsoft goes under, who is going to support their existing products?

Every company wants a bailout now, but if they get one, we'll be on this hole for a hell of a lot longer.
