missg8tordivr 0 #1 March 24, 2009 Do dogs eat grass when they are not feeling well?? It seems, Suki has not been feeling well and has been eatting a ton of grass. Yesterday she threw up in twice, once was in my briefcase! Leaving soon to take her to the vet. *** F LORIDA!
lauraliscious 0 #2 March 24, 2009 Delilah eats grass all the time, but she has never been sick from it, AFAIK. She seems to enjoy it, feeling well or not. Maybe she just spits it out though. Hope Suki gets to feeling better! Enemiga Rodriguez, PMS #369, OrFun #25, Team Dirty Sanchez #116, Pelt Head #29, Muff #4091
missg8tordivr 0 #3 March 24, 2009 I have never seen Suki do it at all. She just really started doing it yesterday and more so today. She is very lethargic today, and doesn't look like she is feeling well at all.*** F LORIDA!
funfall 0 #4 March 24, 2009 Maybe, but healthy dogs do it, too. If the dog is otherwise acting OK, and only throws up a little white stuff with grass, soon after eating the grass, it may be nothing. Maybe she likes the taste of the fresh new grass of spring. Let us know what the vet says. I saw the following comment after posting the above: QuoteShe is very lethargic today, and doesn't look like she is feeling well at all. That's more reason to worry than eating a little grass, which is pretty common for healthy dogs.
tigra 0 #5 March 24, 2009 When I let my cats out on the yard, first they run to the grass to eat a bit, then roll around on the concrete. Then, one of them will always hack up the grass she ate- if I am lucky, she'll do that while she is still outside.
missg8tordivr 0 #6 March 24, 2009 Yesterday she actually pucked up the grass while she was in the car. Unfortunately, it was right into my briefcase!*** F LORIDA!

regulator 0 #8 March 24, 2009 I was always told that dogs eat grass to settle their upset stomach. I know all of our weenie dogs do it every now and then but perhaps in the future you should leave your breifcase closed?
steve1 5 #9 March 24, 2009 I've owned a lot of dogs. They all enjoyed eating grass at times. I wouldn't worry about it. It's probably like salad to them....

knic 0 #11 March 25, 2009 Maybe you dog is eating to grass to balance his diet. Your pup is in need of more veggies!!! My old dog used to always eat grass, I think he was trying to purge himself. It's common though among dogs.- Knic
The_Don 0 #12 March 25, 2009 All my dogs ate grass, sometimes they threw up, sometimes not. Let us know how she is doing! PM if you need to!I am NOT being loud. I'm being enthusiastic!
missg8tordivr 0 #13 March 25, 2009 So, the minute I take Suki to the vet, she wakes up and is bouncing all over the place....AND no sign of a fever. The Dr., that is looking at me like I am crazy, seems to think that what ever ws wrong, may have passed. When we got home, she ate, played with Emma, and started acting like the typical ole Suki, jumping from couch to couch like a maniac, and tearing the hell out of the house! I am just glad she is feeling better....she really had me worried. *** F LORIDA!
