livendive 8 #3 January 19, 2009 QuoteThe New Battlestar Galactica series.. Now that we know Ellen was the 5th Cylon... What the hell is Starbuck? And what happened to earth? I was really disappointed that they were making Starbuck out to be the 5th, as it was entirely too predictable. So I was pleasantly shocked by the sudden finger pointed at Ellen and have absolutely no clue what that makes Starbuck. I really love/hate the fact that we have 9 episodes left (love that they're sticking with the intended plot & timeline, hate that it's almost over). Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" Thanatos340 1 #5 January 19, 2009 I think they are ALL Cylon. Humans wiped themselves out on earth. Cylons built New Humans and sent them out to repopulate the galaxy. there might be 12 "original" models but everyone else is also decended from Cylon Stock. Muttley & I raised that possibility last night, and I do consider it possible, but unlikely, given Gaius Balthar's test that distinguished cylons from humans. They could reconcile this by stating his test was for genetic variations for something like that. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" The cylons, recognizing mans destructive nature, planted groups of real humans in different parts of the galaxy along with their own "skin jobs". The "skin jobs" are there to monitor and report back on what I think is one big experiment to see if mankind(humanity) could actually live in a world that would not ultimately self destruct and could live harmoniously with cylons . Multiple experiments, with similar test subjects, happening consecutively. Kind of like a Skinner box test with a Jung twist added."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
gearless_chris 1 #8 January 19, 2009 I haven't heard much of the tests since the first season, is it possible that he was lying about the test even working? I've missed quite a few episodes so I plan to get current soon. It sounded to me like they all are Cylons too. Wouldn't that be something to find out Starbuck is God? In the original series, way back when, wasn't there a Cylon leader that showed up from time to time?"If it wasn't easy stupid people couldn't do it", Duane. My momma said I could be anything I wanted when I grew up, so I became an a$$hole.

beowulf 1 #10 January 19, 2009 I don't think Ellen is the 12th. I think Starbuck is the 12th. She did help lead them to Earth. Didn't they say the 5 unknown would lead them to earth?
gearless_chris 1 #11 January 19, 2009 Didn't they give Ellen a Cylon blood transfusion to fix her Cancer already, I thought it came from the baby? I don't know if that was before or after she was tested. It seems like that may throw off the test results, if it worked to begin with. Did they ever explain how Baltar could see #6 when nobody else could? I missed a lot in '07 since I wasn't home on Friday's."If it wasn't easy stupid people couldn't do it", Duane. hypsin 0 #12 January 19, 2009 I always thought D was the 5th and when they focused heavily on her last episode I was sure I was right. Then boom, she offs herself... I still don't get what difference does it make if Ellen is the 5th. She is dead, who cares?

QuoteDid they ever explain how Baltar could see #6 when nobody else could? I think they were somehow part of each other's sub-conscious, which would by supported in the theory that everyone's either Cylon or in a Cylon experiment of some sort. Blues, Dave She is dead alright, they nuked the resurrection hub and no way she was resurrected before because even Cylons don't know the final 5. Either way, finale should be good - story and CGI-wise. Supposedly, they are dumping some major $$$ into final-whatever battle which makes HD-geek inside me giggle like a 6-yr old girl. livendive 8 #23 January 19, 2009 One complaint about last night's episode...did anyone else find the drinking/gun scene between Adama and Tigh to be COMPLETELY contrived? The acting and dialogue in that scene were awful to the point that it was uncomfortable to watch. Also, did Adama sober up at some point before going to the bridge to plot out the next leg of the journey? If so, I missed it, because I was thinking, "Now THAT is drunk driving!" Thanatos340 1 #24 January 19, 2009 Agreed on the Drinking Scene with Adama and Tigh but the Suicide scene with Dee was fantastic. Took me totally by surprise but made complete sense at the time.
