Andy9o8 2 #28 February 22, 2009 The friend and the girl both deserve the doghouse. - The friend for betraying you when he obviously knows better. If he'd betray you at this, then he'd betray you at anything. And therefore he's no true friend (at least not anymore). - The girl for having such an easily-swayed eye. Like others have said up-thread, better you find this out sooner rather than later. You're just moving into that age when you come to realize: people can turn into very different people as adults than what they were like as kids - sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. (It's one of the top 2 or 3 reasons why childhood friends sometimes become ex-friends.) In this case, if you're going to make a clear-headed evaluation, you need to put what your friend was like as a kid out of your mind - pretend you only met him recently - and focus only on what kind of person he is now as an adult. Let that be a guide to inform your decision.

madhatter 0 #32 February 22, 2009 Quote You must have missed the part where he said that he'd already been talking to the girl for a while, before his 'bro' moved in on her. So, being all enlightened and shit, you've got no problems with one of your 'bros' taking Ali back to his tent and tapping it out, right? After all, the GIRL is going to DECIDE who she wants to be with, right? Fuck that bullshit - it's about RESPECT, and this dude has shown that a piece of ass is of more importance than his "best friend". With friends like that, who needs enemies? +1A VERY MERRY UNBIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! D.S #
diablopilot 2 #33 February 22, 2009 QuoteQuoteQuoteAs far as Im concerned it up to the girl. Ok, so you don't have a problem with one of your 'bros' tappin it out while you're with her - no problem, then. Who am I to say she can't. If that what she wants. Dose that mean that I'm still going to be there when she is done? Hell no. I'll be havin a beer with my bro on the lookout for the next chapter. Yeah, I remember being 16 too....---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

madhatter 0 #39 February 22, 2009 Shouldn't you be having tea, or something, you bloomin' redneck? edit: maybe SA history needs to come into play here Wikipedia: South Africa In South Africa, the Afrikaans term "rooinek" (meaning redneck) was derisively applied by Boers to the British soldiers who fought during the Boer Wars, because their skin was sensitive to the harsh African sun. The phrase is still used by Afrikaners to describe South Africans of English descent. A VERY MERRY UNBIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! D.S #

If she does and still decides to pursue your friend then she's not the girl for you. Totally. And tell your "friend" that nobody likes players - not the girls, not the guys either. Sooner or later the fun will come to an end and he'll have nobody who gives a crap about him either way. Your humble servant.....Professor Gravity ! pinkfairy 0 #45 February 22, 2009 "Seemed interested" doesn't mean that she's at all interested. It could mean that she was just being friendly, or liked you as a pal, nothing romantic. My experience is that men get that wrong all the time. Maybe it's their wishful thinking: "she doesn't spit on me or curse my name, so she must be in love with me!" There are many grades between love and hate. I've had people who I thought were just friends suddenly tell me that they loved me. And some women are just naturally flirty and it will seem as if they like you when they don't. It can seem promising when it's actually not. You should take this into account. Relax, you can die if you mess up, but it will probably not be by bullet. I'm a BIG, TOUGH BIGWAY FORMATION SKYDIVER! What are you?

Gato 0 #49 February 22, 2009 I've had a couple of "friends" that did that shit to me when I was younger. Fifteen years later, one of them is still single, and the other one fucks around on his wife whenever he gets the chance. What I cannot stand about a lot of guys who do that is that they consistently misrepresent their intentions to the girl - meaning most of them won't tell the girl outright that they are there for something physical, and not much else. Then the girl (who you didn't think was damaged goods before then) is broken hearted when her perfect "hot guy" dumps her because he's bored. A lot of the time, the "bad boy" syndrome plays a part in this. If you are the nice guy and she chooses to be with him, you may never have had a chance with her in the first place. If you're too nice (like I was) some women will be more afraid of that than they are of getting screwed-over by the bad boy. Maybe they think there's no way a man could be nice without hiding some VERY dark secret, I don't know. Unfortunately, he may have already fucked up your chances. If so, fuck him - 7th grade is over. On a more positive note, I ended up with a great woman, so nice guys DO end up winning sometimes.T.I.N.S.
