floridadiver81 0 #1 March 15, 2009 Ok so i find out that my drivers license is suspended last weekend. When i call virginia to find out what i have to do to get it reinstated in florida they tell me. They ALSO tell me that my motorcycle endorsement WILL NOT carry over. I ask why...they proceed to tell me that since i too the class through the military and since i have seperated from the military that i have to do the whole process again. That makes NO sense to me whatsoever! I would understand if it was a military only license but i had it on my drivers license! Has anyone ever heard of something like this. I dont mind going through it again but if there is something i can do to not go through the whole process again i would rather go that route. LongWayToFall 0 #10 March 16, 2009 In california there are 2 ways to get the license, you can take an approved course (about 3 days) and take the written test at the dmv, or the other way to get it is to do a riding test in the dmv parking lot, then take the written and you are done. So all u gotta do it ride between the cones and you are good, shouldn't take long at all
mccurley 1 #11 March 17, 2009 In what scenario does it make sense to have different laws in different states?? BUBLHED 0 #12 March 17, 2009 When I went from Tn. to FL. all I had to do was take the written for both and the driving test for the car and got both endorsements, no biggie. Never left the parking lot in the car either.ATTACK LIFE ! IT'S GOING TO KILL YOU ANYWAY!!!!
skyjumpenfool 2 #13 March 17, 2009 I've been riding for nearly 40 years and I'm thinking of taking the course just because it's a good idea. I have a friend who is considering getting his endorsement and I told him I would go with. Just do it, learn what you can, and lets go riding!Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."

LongWayToFall 0 #15 March 17, 2009 Hahaha. Reminds me of my last speeding ticket that got my license suspended for 30 days. He asked if I drove there, and I said yes, and told him I didn't plan on losing my court case. He was cool though and said to "use my best judgment" about weather to call a ride or not. Considering my judgment was pretty shot to get me into court on a 120mph speeding ticket, you can guess what I did.
