Music Buffs - Need Some Help

Recommended Posts

Trying to compile a list of songs that, while separate tracks, are ALWAYS played together on the radio. So far I have:

Queen:
We Will Rock You
We Are The Champions

Jackson Brown
Load Out
Stay

Boston
Foreplay
Long Time

ZZ Top
Waiten' For The Bus
Jesus Just Left Chicago

Van Halen
Eruption
You Really Got Me

Led Zeppelin
Heartbreaker
Living Loving Maid (She's Just A Woman)

Beatles
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
With A Little Help From My Friends

Journey
Feeling That Way
Anytime That You Wany Me

So...what else can you think of??? Thanks!

The Kings: This Beat Goes On/Switch Into Glide

Pink Floyd: Brain Damage/Eclipse (off Dark Side of the Moon, opening lyric: "The lunatic is on the grass")

I think the intro to Time is a seperate song too, but I don't know offhand what the title is.

Don't forget David Bowie: Ziggy Stardust/Suffraget City.

One of my radio fantasies is to play Ziggy Stardust/Living Loving Maid. Just once...

Speaking of music radio, why is it that when a station invites listeners to call in their requests, the only requests they honor are those asking to hear something they were eventually going to play anyway?

Just wondering.

Cheers, Jon S.

Ahhh... a topic near & dear to my heart.

From the sublime to the ridiculous:

Abby Road side 2 (Where do you break this? You can't!)

ZZ Top Waitin' for the Bus & Jesus Just Left Chicago

Thick as a Brick by Jethro Tull (back in 1971 when it first came out radio was playing side "2, cut #7" but it's just "side 1 & side 2" on the record)

I have my brother on the case, so more will come later.

Not popular, but has been known to be done:

School & Bloody Well Right by Supertramp (Crime of the Century is one of my personal favorites)

Off topic:

A popular segway back in the AM radio days:

The Birds - Eight Miles High followed by The Who - I Can See for Miles

Santana

"Black Magic Woman"
"Oye Como Va"

Do you mean BLACK MAGIC WOMAN/GYPSY QUEEN?

Black Magic Woman is originally a Fleetwood Mac song.

There's a thought for a new post: "Covered" songs more popular than the original (the above is a perfect example).

Another: Covers that sound NOTHING like the original.

And now with more thought, both my suggestions would end up floundering after someone mentioned Led Zep & all the old blues songs they changed/covered/ripped off, then it'd be old blues songs that turned into R&R classics starting in about 1950, and... Nope, forget it. I DO NOT want to open THAT can 'o worms! Not me! Ut uhh! No way!
