Speaking of music radio, why is it that when a station invites listeners to call in their requests, the only requests they honor are those asking to hear something they were eventually going to play anyway? There's a thought for a new post: "Covered" songs more popular than the original (the above is a perfect example). Another: Covers that sound NOTHING like the original. And now with more thought, both my suggestions would end up floundering after someone mentioned Led Zep & all the old blues songs they changed/covered/ripped off, then it'd be old blues songs that turned into R&R classics starting in about 1950, and...
