Darius11 12 #1 February 25, 2009 I have been trying to find track days anywhere on the East Coast with no luck. The only option I have found for racing on a road course is Lime Rock and they want a 100K a year membership fee. Even there track days cost over 3000-5000 K. I have seen that in the UK and west coast you can get the same experience for about 200 $ or ponds. Is any one aware of any thing like that on the East Coast? No drag strips. Pokerstar 0 #3 February 25, 2009 I do track days in the midwest, and there are several options available for you. Most car clubs that do track days will let you participate, all you have to do is pay your portion of the track fee. The corvette clubs and porsche clubs are generally open to having others joion them. There are probably several other car clubs that do track days too, viper, mustangs, etc. If you need some more info. just shoot me a PMFortunately, I'm adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug, uh, regimen to keep my mind, you know, uh, limber. --- The Dude ---

BikerBabe 0 #6 February 25, 2009 Are you looking to race your car...or a motorcycle? Anyway, scca as suggested above is a good place to start. Some east coast tracks that probably have track days: Loudon, NH (http://www.nhms.com/) Mid-Ohio, as mentioned above Putnam Park in Indiana (a great, fun track: http://www.putnampark.com/) Road Atlanta (http://www.roadatlanta.com/) Virginia Int'l Raceway (http://www.virclub.com/) Summit Point in WV (http://www.summitpoint-raceway.com/ Beaver Run in PA (http://www.beaverun.com/) New Jersey Motorsports Park(http://www.njmotorsportspark.com/ those are off the top of my head, my husband having either raced or taken pictures of races at each of those places. There's also Daytona, of course, and JenningsGP in florida if you are talking about motorcycles. Barber in Alabama is an amazing new track, but those are kinda far... Also, if you're talking bikes, i know most tracks will require you to either take their local road-racing course, or show them an expert racers card from AMA or another roadracing club/association in order to go out on the track for track days. of course you'll also need full leathers and good gloves, boots, and a helmet. If you are talking bikes, a lot of times your local motorcycle shops will have track day information on hand. There are roadracers hiding everywhere, and they tend to set them up and try to advertise as much as possible Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup! DescensionX 0 #7 February 25, 2009 Raceway Park in New Jersey is a drag racing strip, but they also have a road course. I think it is like $225 for 8 hours with your own car, or something like that. Click on this, then on the left navigation bar, click on "Road Course".
